— Hello Andrea! Thanks for the opportunity to talk to you. How are you these days?
— Ciao!
I'm ok but cautious for Covid situation.
— Tell us more about your early ages. What made you decide to pursue a career in electronic music?
— I have always been in love with dance music, since I have been very young. One day in 90s my friend loaned my first software to "make" music: was a kind primitive sampler.
Then I continued to try and try again. In 2003 i remixed Erick Morillo - "Dancin" which been a HUGE anthem. This launched my career and until now I remixed and collaborated with David Guetta, Bob Sinclar, MousseT, Junkie XL, Sophie Ellis Bextor, Tube & Berger, Benny Benassi...among others.
— You're originally from Italy. This country is famous for a lot cultural and music events. What influence did it have on you, both as for an individual and an artist?
— If you think to Italo Dance since 80s.. in 90s early 2000 it peaked. I guess it influenced many Italian producers a bit.
— How would you describe the music that you typically create?
— Nice question. I always produced music with personal touch, sometimes this is not like others at all. The goal should be 'be unique'. If you hear my past HITS like the remixes for Erik Morillo "Dancin", MousseT "Right Bout Now" or "The Cat" ..they sounds a bit different compared the trends of that period. I think the originality in the right dose is the key!
— Tell us more about your upcoming release "Disco Tool" on HOLY. What is a story behind the track? What message did you want to transmit to the audience?
— I wanted make a twister jackin/filtered house track with many filters and drops, i really love it on a dance floor. It is the classic tool-track you can use in loop for 7min or just 1. I don't hear many stuff like that at moment. Im very happy of 'Disco Tool'.
— What else is on the front line for 2020? Any exciting news you would like to share?
— I already planned a release on Altra Moda for December and other for 2021, stay tuned for big news!
